Welcome to this video series with Kara Martin, presented by the Tinsley Institute.
In this series, Kara explores what it means to see our so-called secular work as part of the mission of God. Many surveys show that churchgoers often feel unprepared by their churches to serve faithfully in the workplace. While teaching from the pulpit may encourage ethical behaviour and sharing the good news with colleagues, many Christians long for deeper, whole-of-work-life equipping. How do we contribute to God’s mission in the ordinary, everyday work of life?
In this six-session series, Kara Martin draws on years of research into the relationship between worship, mission and work to offer practical steps for integrating the secular and sacred parts of life. As Lesslie Newbigin wrote, Christians need to view their daily work through the lens of the gospel. This course helps us do just that.
Each video also includes discussion questions and suggestions for further exploration.
