The 6 episodes outline the expectations that had been forming for centuries among the people of God, and their expectations of what the next chapter in that story would look like. We then see how Jesus turns up to answer their question… just not in the way they were thinking! The aim is for us to understand the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in the wider context of the story of God’s people—and to find our own place in that story, too.
Tim is the Principal of Morling College, where he lectures in New Testament and Preaching. His two books are, unsurprisingly, about preaching the New Testament: Catching the Wave (IVP, 2016), and To Aliens and Exiles (Cascade, 2020).
Each session includes thought-provoking reflection and discussion questions for personal or group study.
Join us on this journey of discovery as we seek to understand the profound significance of Jesus in the story of God's people and our place within it.
Morling College has been equipping and shaping Christ-centered followers to impact the world since our inception in 1916. Today, we are one of the longest standing and largest theological college in Australia, with students from Australia and abroad.
