See the potential. Support the next step.

Develop a leader.
Strengthen your organisation.

You may already know a woman with the character and capability to take on greater responsibility. Your encouragement, financial support and time for study can help her develop that potential.

Leadership shaped by Christian faith

Support the growth of a leader who connects biblical and theological reflection with decisions about people, culture and organisational responsibility.

Learning that comes back to your team

Workplace-focused assessments and a substantial project connect study with a real organisational need, from developing a policy to equipping a team.

A wider network. A stronger foundation.

Participants learn alongside other women leaders, engage with experienced practitioners and reflect on the challenges, role models and resilience that shape their leadership.

Full qualification details

Practical value for your organisation

Bring a real challenge into the learning.

The Christian Leadership seminar includes a major project in the participant’s workplace context, considered through a biblical and theological lens. Discuss a focus that serves her development and a need within your organisation.

A project could explore…

  • A policy that needs to be developed or reviewed
  • Research to inform an organisational decision
  • Training to strengthen staff or volunteer capability

Your part in her development

Make room for her next step.

Your support gives a capable woman the encouragement and practical opportunity to grow as a Christian leader.

Ask about the 20% tuition discount

The Organisational Professional Development Discount offers an upfront course-fee discount where an organisation contributes 50% of course fees. Discuss current fees, eligibility and payment arrangements with Kara.

Identify and encourage

Identify one or more women whose current responsibilities or leadership potential make this a worthwhile next step. Talk with them about their interest and readiness.

Share the financial investment

Plan to contribute 50% of the participant’s course fees through the organisational support arrangement. Kara can help you understand the commitment before proceeding.

Provide time and opportunity

Plan for 11 teaching days across the year, plus three Friday evening–Saturday retreats in Sydney. Reading, assessments and any travel require additional time. Agree study leave and a relevant workplace project together.

Before you get started

A few practical questions.

Who is a good fit for the cohort?

Christian women who are already leading or preparing for greater responsibility in businesses, churches, charities, schools or other organisations. Discuss the participant’s experience, goals and context with Kara.

Does a participant need a university degree?

The published entry pathways include a bachelor degree in a non-theological discipline or a minimum of four years’ relevant work experience. Equivalent qualifications and other approved study may also be considered. Admission is assessed individually; organisational endorsement does not guarantee a place.

Can someone outside Sydney participate?

Retreats require in-person attendance in Sydney, from Friday evening to Saturday. Other units can be studied online. Interstate organisations and participants should discuss travel, accommodation and the full timetable with Kara before committing.

Can we support more than one woman?

Yes. Talk with Kara about supporting one or more women, their suitability and the organisational support arrangements for each participant.

Is this a separate women’s qualification?

No. Participants study the Graduate Certificate of Christian Leadership, a course of the Australian University of Theology delivered through Morling. The Women in Christian Leadership cohort brings together a planned program of units, formation and retreats within that qualification.

Start with a conversation

Who could you
encourage to lead?

You can start a conversation before deciding who to support. Talk with Kara about suitability, the program and how your organisation could support someone.

  1. 01
Explore the fit. Discuss your organisation and the leader you have in mind.
  2. 02
Agree the support. Work through fees, study leave and the year’s commitments.
  3. 03
